“I’m busy, busy, dreadfully busy!â€
(I guess you know you’re a mommy when life reminds you of a Veggie Tales song!!)
There has been lots going on for the past few weeks, and this week isn’t promising to slow down any! But, they are full of good things – family, friends, church, God’s Word - so, maybe it isn’t exactly like the song.  (I never want to be “much, much too busy for you!â€Â Then I really would be too busy!)
I have been spending a lot of time preparing to teach a lesson on modesty to the high school girls at Awana tonight. But, I will say more abou that later…Â
Tuesday will, of course, be laundry day! (I don’t know why that gets a smiley face, but it does…Maybe I am just really looking forward to clean clothes…) It will also be full of the other things around the house that I have been neglecting this past week.
Wednesday is Bible Study… But, our table leader is out of town this week, which means that, as her assistant, I have to…get to lead the table discussion. This doesn’t really require anything outside of my normal preparation, it just means that we absolutely have to be at church on time! (We have a leader’s meeting before the study.) Why is it that it is only impossible to get out of the house on time only on the days that punctuality really matters?Â
Thursday I think (I hope!) we will be home. My girls accountability group meets that night, but I have already read the 2 chapters that we will be discussing (in Martha Peace’s Damsels In Distress).  So, I just get to hang out with Hannah, play dolls and Candy Land, and pack for this weekend!
On Friday, my mom and I will be leaving for our church’s ladies retreat!  So, since Jason will be single-parenting it all weekend, I am trying to get the house in order before I go. I also want to have some meals prepared for the two of them. (But, I do have frozen pizzas and chicken nuggets in the freezer, just in case. Not the healthiest things in the world, but at least I know they won’t starve!) Jason keeps reminding me that I need to look up the definition of the word “retreat!â€Â  In reality, he and Hannah will be just fine. And, in all honestly, I will probably return to a home that is in better shape than the one I left!! 😉Â
So…busy week ahead. But, it will be fun, it will be good, and I am looking forward to relaxing a little bit this weekend!
