“Mommy? Can I make my breakfast today?”
.
Well…okay. Do you need help?
.
“No. I want to do it by myself.”
.
.
You  know…it was cute when she went through the “I do it myself” phase when she was 2.
.
But, now?
.
…now, it makes me just a little bit sad to think about how quickly she is growing up…
.
I just want to enjoy every single moment.
.
Oh my! How sweet! My oldest is 2 1/2 and is beginning the “all by myself” stage. They grow far too quickly!
Isn’t it bittersweet to see them grow? 🙂
I’m there, too, watching my 10 year old transition from a little girl to a young lady. {sigh} I wouldn’t trade seeing her grow up for anything (thinking of friends who have lost a child and never got to watch them grow up) but it’s hard to watch sometimes. I love the times she still plays with dolls and things like that. I love that she’s a bit more “sheltered” than some other kids her age, so maybe her childhood will last a little longer.
No, seeing them grow up is not easy! My oldest just turned 17 and I am realizing how quickly time has passed and soon (and very soon) he will HAVE to do it himself! Ack!
That shot of your girl is ADORABLE!
