It’s been a while since my last “Hannah-isms†post…so I thought I’d share the most recent additions to the collection…
Last night at dinner:
Hannah surprised us all by announcing, “I want a sister!â€
(And, no, as far as we know, she is not getting one anytime soon!!)
This afternoon, while we were “playing stickers†(good old-fashioned ColorForms!), I asked Hannah a few questions, just for fun…It went a little something like this:
Mommy: “Hannah, are you a big girl?â€
Hannah: “No, I’m Hannah Elisabeth Whitley.â€
M: “How old are you?â€
H: “2-ears-old.â€Â (Yes, it’s purposely misspelled!!)
M: “What do you want to be when you grow up?â€
H: “A boy.â€
M: “But, you can’t be a boy. God made you a girl.â€
H: “Oh, well, then I’ll just be a little girl when I’m big.â€
Then later, while Hannah was “making dinner†(fruit salad, with ketchup and onions – yum!, in case you were wondering!):
M: “Hannah, what is your favorite food?â€
H: “Broccoli.â€
M: “Broccoli, really?! Okay.â€
H: “Yes…Can I have a chocolate chip cookie?â€

Timing…I love it! No sooner had I hit “publish†and Hannah came over to me and asked, “Where is my daddy?â€
“He is at church tonight. Do you know what he is doing at church?â€
Okay, I have to interject here, that her typical answer is “He is at Bible study.â€Â She is currently (and understandably) under the impression that the only reason that people go to church is for Bible study… 🙂
Now back to the conversation…
Her response…â€Yes, I know! He is going potty!â€
I almost spit my coffee all over the computer!!Â
Although unexpected, it was actually an understandable response. We have been re-doing “potty training boot camp†over the last week, so I’m sure it is at the forefront of her mind these days (at least, I hope it is!!). It’s going well, and I think we are back on track!!  We’ve gone 2 weeks with only 1 accident – including an accident-free outing!! All I have to say is, once they are potty-trained, stay away from Pull-ups!!! Far, far away!!
