“When I get a little money, I buy books; and if any is left, I buy food and clothes.†~Erasmus
I first saw this quote a couple of summers ago when we visited Jason’s parents in Dallas, TX. Jason’s mom was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary at the time (she just graduated last month!), and she took us on a tour of the campus. At the bookstore, they had bookmarks bearing this quote. Having a husband who was also in seminary, I found it quite appropriate, as this pretty much summed up our budgeting philosophy!
I also happen to be something of a book addict myself…So I can’t really blame him… I have my own â€wish list†on Amazon.com that is currently about 85 books long!
I am very excited because, Desiring God is having a sale! Today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday), they will be selling all of their books and study guides for $5 each.  Five dollars!! Can’t beat that!! So, for you Piper fans out there, check it out, and add to your library. Or, if you have never read a Piper book, now would be a great time to start!!
Oh, just in case you’re worried about missing out on something, this statement, from the DG Blog, should calm your fears:
“There are no limits—if we run out of anything, we’ll just order more.â€
Yay!!
