At 9 Months:
Weight: 20 pounds, 1/2 ounce (50th percentile)
Height: 30 inches (90th percentile)
Yes, I have long, skinny babies. (His big sister was the same way…although she has never been anywhere near the 50th percentile in weight!)
Titus hit what had to be his 9-month growth spurt…and “celebrated” turning 9 months by reverting to his newborn eating patterns…every hour, on the hour…for 3 nights in a row! So, needless to say, I was completely expecting a jump in his height and his weight at his check-up! His weight was actually lower than I thought, but the doctor suggested that it might be because he is becoming more active. (Is that even possible!?)
He is still not “crawling,” although he sure does get around. He is always moving. ALWAYS. Right now, his preferred method is simply rolling to wherever he wants to go. But, when he does try to “crawl,” it ends up looking more like a bunny- or frog-hop. Not the most effective, but oh-so-cute!
He now has 6 teeth! 4 on top, and 2 on the bottom….and I am pretty sure he is working on a few more!
He is loving “real” food… Well, I think what he really enjoys is making a mess feeding himself! Puffs or Cheerios seem to be his favorite right now. But he also seems to enjoy smashing, um, I mean eating small pieces of banana or carrots. 😉
Titus loves his big sister! No wonder…She plays with him, comforts him,and can make him smile and giggle when no one, or nothing, else can! And, I think she enjoys his company as much as (more than!) he enjoys hers.
Some days, or nights rather, are exhausting. And, the days can be long. But, I am so thankful for God’s grace and mercy in those moments…and for the privilege that it is to stay home and serve my family each day.
He’s so adorable! I feel like I could have written this post 3 months ago about Corbin…. long and skinny, constantly on the move, eats like crazy, loves table food…. check, check, check, check. It’s so funny to see the stereotypical differences between boys and girls played out in my kids. Aren’t busy boys fun? (and a bit exhausting?) So different from verbal girls!
