.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter (softened)
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks (chop your own, or use 1 12oz package of chocolate chips or chunks)
1-1½ cups caramel bits (I used Kraft Premium Caramel Bits. If using the wrapped square candies, they will need to be cut into small-ish pieces.)
.
Directions:
.
Preheat oven to 375º
 .
In a medium bowl mix together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
 .
In large bowl cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. Slowly add flour mixture, scraping sides as you go.
 .
Stir in (by hand) chocolate chunks, and caramel pieces.
 .
Spread mixture evenly into a 10X15in jelly roll pan. Bake at 375 º for 20-25 minutes.Â
 .
Cool cookies in pan, on wire rack. Cut into squares.
 .
Yield: 24 cookie bars (this may vary depending on how large or small you cut the bars)

Enjoy with a cold glass of milk or, my personal favorite, a cup of strong, hot coffee! Yum.
