Even though Hannah decided to make me work on Mother’s Day this year, it was a nice day. Being that it was a Sunday, we put Hannah in the nursery and headed off to our Sunday School class. She was not too thrilled with the nursery, and began crying as soon as I set her down. We just moved her into a new nursery room a couple of weeks ago, and so far she has seemed to enjoy it. I guess the novelty finally wore off! I went down to check on her between services, and the nursery director said that she was having a hard morning, but was doing fine for now. That was short-lived. About 5 minutes into the second service I was paged to come get her. (Our nursery has pagers – like the ones they give you at a restaurant when you have to wait for a table.) We went outside and walked around for a little while. Then, she sat on my lap for a little while, until Grandma offered to take her for a walk. I guess she just wanted to be with me on Mother’s Day…we’ll see what her excuse is next week!
(Hannah – with lots of help from Daddy - gave me a new Starbucks coffee mug, and a Cookie Monster card – that she “signed†herself!)
